Netflix and Pandora are two of the most sought after features on Blu-ray players. The ability to stream movies and music over ethernet or wirelessly is something not to be missed. GrooveShark.com lets you look up any song you want (that’s in its library) and instantly listen to it. Much like Deezer it appears to have an upload section for users to upload their music to their database. I have not tired this yet but I’ll report on this later.

The thing that makes GrooveShark so stunning has little to do with the music.

Following in the lines of Google and many other well designed sites these days GroovSharks interface it drop dead easy to use. It does rely on Flash (not my favorite technology) but the implementation is near flawless, at least at first glance.

Pandora to start charging

Pandora Internet Radio has revised its terms of service to state that users who exceed 40 hours a month will be cut off. Listeners can avoid being cut off by paying a small fee of $0.99 that gives them unlimited access. This is both a good and bad thing. Due to he recent settlement between webcasters and SoundExchange that changes the rates on royalty payments, Pandora has to pay more for its content. Given the ease of use this incredible Internet radio service offers I think the $0.99 a month will be well worth it.
